FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates depend on the distance I have to travel to your pet. My basic pricing is as follows, as listed on my website, vpetcare.com: $18 for a 30 mn walk or cat visit $28 for 1 hour walk $35 for a hike House-sitting for dogs: between $65 and 85 per night depending on the length and quantity of walks. House-sitting for cats: $55 per night
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I go over their needs: what kind of pets, the dates, what is expected of me. Then I visit their home to meet them and their pet(s). I write all instructions down and enter them in a Client Form. I send the form to my client to verify everything is correct. Often they already have a memo written down that they can email me. A few days before the job starts, I confirm with them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have always been around pets and started riding horses when I was very young. I have been told I am an animal whisperer! This gift cannot really be learned. But I did take some dog-training classes with a client and her dog. Here is a comment from a client: "You're so intuitive with dogs I trust you more with xx than any of the other professionals I've used."
