Introduction: I am both a novel editor and a screenplay consultant. As a published novelist and a produced screenwriter -- "Copycat" starring Holly Hunter and Sigourney Weaver -- I bring more than a standard editor's toolbox to your project. I know what it's like to be the first one to put the first word on a blank page. I have great respect for that original spark of creation, so I will approach your work as both a writer and an editor. I've worked closely with editors on my novels and with film and television executives on my scripts; I've lived the process from the inside; my comments, advice and tips will help to prepare your manuscript for the marketplace. I bring a screenwriter's touch to my novels, which emphasizes clean, forward moving story telling. I bring a novelist's sensibility to screenplays: deeper characterizations, more textured scenes, fully realized worlds. I am not part of a development team, where many readers compete to put their stamp on your project. I offer personalized manuscript editing focused on getting the most out of YOUR story. You'll always know where I'm coming from and where we're going. I have published three novels: "Black Plume: the Suppressed Memoirs of Edgar Allen Poe", "U.S.S.A." and "Vodoun". In addition to "Copycat", I have sold scripts to all the major studios and TV networks, including Fox, Disney, Paramount, Warner Brothers, Lionsgate, ABC and CBS.
