- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I provide a senior rate of $40/hour for in-home computer help. After our visit, if you have any quick follow-up questions, I'm happy to provide over-the-phone support for free. Your 100% satisfaction is my goal.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Whether you are a first-time computer learner or a long-time user running into issues, my goal is to get you up to speed. Typically, I start by asking what you need to be able to (or used to be able to) do with your computer. Typically I'll have you demonstrate the problem you're running into so I have a clear picture of what needs to be changed. Next I'll get all the behind-the-scenes setup out of the way, such as removing malware or running necessary system updates. Once everything is ready for you to use, I'll walk you through any changes I've made and instruct you on how to avoid running into the issue again. My goal is to make sure you understand how to use your computer, not to fix your problem but leave you in the dark.
