FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally, I charge $300 per week for a family of four. This includes a personalized weekly menu and my services. There is a separate cost for the food. Basically how it works is I go grocery shopping for you, come to your kitchen cook you breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the week and clean up like I was never there. I leave reheating instructions on the outside of each package
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Johnson and Wales University with an associates in culinary arts and am in my senior year of my bachelors degree in food service management at the same. I took a catering course at Norfolk Technical Center while in high school as well.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been cooking since I could stand on a chair and reach the counter , so there was no doubt I would be a chef. I sort of fell into catering and the personal chef side of the restaurant industry. I came across an old college roommate that basically took me to work with her one day and I fell in love with the atmosphere of her kitchen, and ever since I have been inching closer to opening my own. Finally I decided to give it a try and here I am 3 years later.
