We will begin with an initial consultation where we will go over the goals you have for your pet. During this consultation, we will set up a training plan and begin learning basic training techniques. You will also learn ways to directly address the specific behavior problems you have laid out.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently serve as the Behavior and Evaluations Coordinator at Larimer Humane Society. My role at Larimer Humane includes behavior assessments of all animals that enter the shelter. I create behavior modification programs for animals not suitable for adoption to give them a second chance at life in the community. I have experience rehabilitating both fearful and aggressive animals. I utilize positive reinforcement and clicker training techniques to focus on fostering positive relationships between pets and their guardians. I graduated with distinction from Karen Pryor Academy in 2014, becoming a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP).
