Introduction: There’s unique power in the acceptance and encouragement of others, and my talks tap into that motivational spirit. Born with severe congenital deformities, acceptance and encouragement from parents, relatives, classmates, and friends helped me overcome significant hurdles. That support has resulted in experiencing a happy and fulfilling life. These unique experiences and lessons form the basis of my motivational narratives. My goal is to deliver this message to students, parents of children with special needs, faith-based organizations, and corporate audiences. I love telling my story, helping others relate the messages to their own lives, and seeing the positive reaction of my audiences. People come up to me afterwards and tell me how inspired they are to become "encouragers.” Leaving a lasting, positive impact on audiences, in turn, inspires me.

Bill Schultz came to Belmont High School gymnasium to speak to our local huddle for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. We also invited local church youth groups. Mr. Schultz's presentation was very well received by all ages. We especially were impressed by his stories of how his parents helped him to grow up with solutions and possibilities for dealing with his birth abnormality. His examples showed young and old alike that we can persevere no matter what "hand" life deals us. We can still grow up and become successful, happy people who contribute to life for others. One other important part of his message was not finger pointing how others had mistreated him while growing up. Bill chose to instead focus on those stories where others students, friends, and family members encouraged him and helped to "fill him with possibles" instead of holding him back and discouraging him. By the end of Mr. Schultz's message all felt empowered to not only deal with the struggles of life, but to also help others see their possibilities and not their limitations with their own struggles. Bill Schultz spoke to our students, grades K-5, at an Elementary Chapel. With an age range like this, it can sometimes be hard for a speaker to engage everyone. Mr. Schultz had the students spell-bound. He was engaging, dynamic, and entertaining while sharing valuable life lessons that the kids could understand. He made his presentation appropriate for his audience – no canned speech that might be fine for adults, but hard for kids. The time and effort put into preparation paid off with a presentation that impacted our students and we are grateful for his consideration. We are happy to recommend Mr. Bill Schultz to anyone looking for an inspiring and engaging speaker. Barbara Wiers, Director of Elementary and School Relations Abundant Life Christian School

Bill Schultz spoke recently to the Attic Angel Continuing Education Program on "The Power of Encouragement". Our audience of about 75 people was truly impressed with his story of the extraordinary life he has led - overcoming unbelievable obstacles presented by his congenital deformities. In his truly inspirational, and also humorous, talk he told us in a friendly, down to earth, manner of his many community activities and professional successes. He was willing to answer any and all questions about how he adjusted to his disabilities through the power of acceptance and encouragement. Many of our audience were excited to read his book, "Short-Handed: a Young Boy's Triumph over Adversity."

Bill Schultz shares his experiences in having dealt with a lifetime of difficult physical challenges in an upbeat and refreshing manner that illustrates a genuine, unshakable "can do" attitude. He describes how this approach helped him achieve success in business and sports as well as a rewarding family life. Bill's audiences are rewarded with large doses of encouragement and motivation for their own lives. Harry Argue Program Committee Madison Sports Hall of Fame (Wisconsin)

Bill has a very compelling story to share. I've heard him share his story on two different occasions. Bill's presentation is flawless. He speaks from the heart and doesn't use any notes. His presentation should be especially encouraging for young people who are struggling to overcome physical disabilities. Bill demonstrates how a person can adjust to difficult circumstances and still succeed in life. So much depends upon the person's attitude and Bill's attitude is incredibly positive. Everyone should get to hear Bill's story.
