FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
1. My initial consultation is always complimentary. 2. My design presentations are backed by years of experience and expertise. 3. I provide concierge-level service from the first meeting to the last installation. 4. I am able to offer my clients superior design solutions for the retail price of the furnishings. I work and bill differently than many interior decorators. In addition to being an interior decorator, I am a Decorating Den Interiors franchise owner which provides me access to hundreds of home furnishings vendors. What does this mean to my clients? This means that I am able to purchase furnishings (furniture, flooring, wall coverings, bedding, lighting, accessories, etc) at a wholesale rate and I am able to sell those furnishings to my clients at a reasonable retail price. Therefore, if my clients and I are working toward the purchase of furnishings, I do not charge my clients any design fees, no hourly billing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design with a major of Textile Design. I also have over 14 years experience designing textiles for the home furnishings industry for many well known fabric companies. My career included positions at many well known companies such as American Silk Mills, Springs Industries and Covington Fabrics. My successful career was ideal preparation to become a small business owner and expand my experiences as an interior decorator.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with many different clients, some have worked with decorators before and others have not. Some jobs are complete homes and other projects are small. I enjoy working with many different clients, each is unique and every new project presents a new challenge.
