FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on the project. Any flat rate project includes one round of revisions unless otherwise specified.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To start the process we discuss the type of shoot you're looking for and details like the length of the shoot, whether multiple shooters are needed, if there is travel involved, etc. From there we begin the planning, which starts by getting to know each other a little bit so that we understand how to best work with one another. Once we're good there, we discuss locations, themes, wardrobe, objectives and outcomes. Once we are in agreement, we sign a contract. I always scout locations prior to the shoot to understand the lighting and equipment we will need to be successful there. Then we make the magic happen. Proofs are delivered digitally for selection (depending on the type of shoot) and the final selections are retouched and delivered as high resolution digital downloads and/or prints as agreed upon.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm largely self-taught since I started years ago as a hobbyist. When I decided to take it to the next level I took courses from those I considered to be some of the best at what they do. Headshots from Peter Hurley and Dylan Patrick. Wedding photography from Patrick Hall and Lee Morris, who founded Fstoppers. There's more but that's the premise I base my learning on.
