During our initial seed round it was clear that we needed some serious help getting our product off the ground. We had put together a basic idea of what we wanted and outsourced to a group over seas; bad idea. Besides the obvious communication and time issues, there was little experience that they offered. It was like knowing that we wanted to open a restaurant but had to start by digging the foundation. Finally we hit the point where we were in danger of not hitting our launch date. A friend told me about Tenex and after an initial consultation with Josh we knew we had the right team. They quickly came in and were able to help us find clairity on the product side by walking us through what was important, what was actually urgent and what was neither. They provided us with the processes and tools to evaluate the work ahead so that we would be able to grow on our own. They took the disaster that we had and found smart ways to build our initial version so that we could launch on time and capture the audience that we wanted. They taught me how to access the data and run the reports that I wanted so I could tell how well our customers were making their way though the funnel. We're still engaged with them to keep things on track as they help us hire our first full-time developer.

I was lucky to partner with TenEx in 2016 to build two robust web services. While very timely and professional, they also took the time to understand our business needs, questioned assumptions. In comparison to building these services ourselves, this was a great decision. We could have used less expensive development shops, the quality of TenEx made me confident that we are not going to have poor legacy code that would have cost us far more over the medium term. Highly recommended.
