FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process can vary depending on where we start. If we are starting with a closet audit, I'll get to know you pretty quick based on what you have hanging up in there. If we are starting at the shopping stage, we'll likely prepare with a pre-shopping questionnaire. While it is possible to just use personal shopping services, I highly recommend starting with the closet audit.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I cut my styling teeth as a long time employee of lifestyle retailer Anthropologie. I rose through the ranks from sales associate, to manager, to the position I desired most, personal stylist. While on staff, I started freelance styling offsite with closet audits, personal shopping, and event styling. After 6 years with Anthopologie, it was time to venture out on my own with freelance styling. Since then, I have also styled photo shoots with professional models, photographers, hair stylists, and makeup artists.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Being born, raised, and based in the Bay Area, I have had the opportunity to work with a truly diverse group--from restaurateurs, technology professionals and teachers to lawyers, moms, and travelers. I have known clients who have height, who are petite, who are willowy, curvy, and athletic.
