- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With new tutoring clients, the first step is to establish clear goals. This can be improved grades, mastery of specific topics, increasing general knowledge, or focus on the basics. Each session will include lessons tailored to these aims. Sometimes all a student needs is having a topic from class or homework explained a different way, other students benefit from visual aids, or practice. I will find what learning style works best for your student, and work to build success together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Science degree from Mesa Community college, with math taken through statistics and calculus. My mother is an English teacher, and got me started on tutoring. Most of my tutoring experience has been by word of mouth, but I am excited to find new clients through thumbtack.
