- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first always show up on time. Can give you a written quote at that time or a more detailed email always that same day...From there usually receive a small deposit for each job funds itself...Then it is a start date and approximately completion date. Usually depending upon the weather for exteriors. Sometimes they push our interiors a bit but, open communication between the clients is number one...
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm glad Thumbtack asked this question... Basically to become a Painting Contractor in the United States requires a few simple licenses. None of which educate the client on the skill level of that company. Reviews help, but they can be mass produced these days using clever tactics. However, in Germany, many written and labor performed tests and schooling are required to obtain ones painting license. I know this for the firm I worked with back in the 1980's definitely informed me of this and taught me well... They were based on Hilton Head Island, SC. I was fortunate enough to start my career out with them, Dieters Painting and later Yeanns Painting in Charleston, SC and never looked back. They taught me from the ground up...
