- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Unless specified, all of my quoted prices include the following: • Travel to/from your location within 30miles of Napa • All Hi-resolution digital images. Images will not be watermarked. • Professional photo editing/retouching/photoshopping of all final images. • Digital delivery of your photographs via a personal private online gallery.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?• I prefer to start with an initial phone call to introduce myself, to assess the client's expectations and to gather necessary information about the job/event. I will be happy to meet with clients in person as necessary prior to event/shoot. I always recommend speaking with and getting to know a client prior to any shoot. • I will send a follow-up email that outlines special requests and topics covered during phone conversation. Email will also include a tailored contract to be reviewed and signed by client.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I gradually came into photography in my 30’s on the heels of a career change and relocation to the West Coast. After moving to San Francisco in 2010, I began documenting the city, focusing my lens on social documentary and candid street photography work. Around this same time I was completing my field training as a paramedic in San Francisco. These two pursuits placed me in the middle of an endless unfolding energy of the city, providing a constant source of inspiration and insight. While emergency medicine provided the adrenaline, photography provided a wonderful calming balance. Although I still practice as a part-time paramedic, I felt it never quite satisfied my strong creative drive. It was then I decided to turn my love of photography into more than just a hobby.
