FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Because writing is a thinking process (and, therefore, hard to track time) I prefer to be paid per project instead of on an hourly basis.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If the customer works with writers regularly I usually let them drive the process. If not, I'll ask lots of questions to make sure I have a good understanding of what the customer is looking for. I'll also clarify deadlines and expectations before I begin writing. For the first piece, especially, I'll check in throughout the process to make sure the customer is happy with my work and to see what changes I can make.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I primarily write for online magazines and business blogs or websites. The type of content requested varies greatly--which I love!
