- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
My goal with any project--whether it's an international shoot or a session with a family here in Nashville--is to use my camera to tell a story. A recent session was with a child whose parents had a very specific type of photo they were wanting to capture. I asked lots of questions, researched what items I would need to capture their idea, and kept in communication with them to ensure every detail was covered. By the time I showed up to take the photo, the picture almost captured itself. Telling a good story sometimes is a spontaneous act, but often it requires intentional planning. But either way, whether a shoot is well planned or spontaneous, my job is to be present and capture the best story.
