FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A pre-service consultation must be scheduled prior to making any services available to new clients. At your pre-service consultation, your pet sitter will review the information you provided about your pet(s) and come up with a plan of care. Once a plan of care is finalized, you will take your pet sitter on a walk through your home so we know where to find all of the essentials to care for your pet.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The owner is a Certified PSI Pet Sitter, a Member of Pet Sitters International, an advocate for the PSI, "Get A Real Pet Sitter" campaign, trained in Pet CPR and First Aid and holds a COA in Animal Preparedness and Awareness from FEMA.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was lucky enough to literally have been raised in the pet care industry. As a teenager, I grew up delivering, raising and training AKC Shih-Tzu puppies for their forever homes. After college and having spent time in the corporate world, my "roots" and passion for animals led me to do something that was more personally inspiring. And so, Spoiled Rotten Pooches was born. I left my job in the business world to start my own business of caring for animals on a full time basis and couldn't be happier!
