- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All cases are evaluated for free. Then a fee is earned if I win or settle your case. The amount of the fee is generally between 33 - 40% (plus costs) of what I recover. But you pay nothing if I lose the case should it go to court.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we have a discussion over the phone or through a video chatting service such as skype or FaceTime. I ask questions about your case and then will take 1 day (sometimes more if it is complex) to review the case background. After that I will decide if it is a case that I believe you would benefit from me being your lawyer. If I don't believe I have the expertise or know-how to handle your case I will tell you and I will personally find a lawyer whom I know who has the relevant experience. I may work on the case with that attorney, but, primarily, that attorney will handle your case for you if you so desire.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I believe most importantly I graduated near the top of my class in law school. This means that I work hard and learn quickly. Prior to that I took courses to get into medical school. Both my parents are doctors. My wife is a doctor. All of my extended family and friends are doctors. I grew up in the medical field so I understand it and can quickly tap into resources most other lawyers can't, because for them, it is too expensive to consult on every case.
