Introduction: My name is Caroline Merejo, and I am a New York City based makeup artist. Every day, I feel so fortunate to have a career in a field that I am passionate about on multiple levels. For me, one of the most exciting aspects about makeup has always been connecting with other people. I believe in the value of investing in others, and I strive to make every interaction with my clients and colleagues a positive one. My resume includes but is not limited to airbrush, special event, and editorial hairstyling and makeup. I am always looking for new clients, and I love connecting with you all. I love how fast paced and different my job is. What I do changes from day to day, so the unpredictableness is certainly exciting! I get to work with an array of different people, each one as interesting as the last. How could one ever get bored? I do not only love makeup, but this journey that makeup has brought me to.

I loved working with Caroline! A fun and bubbly character, who also knew what she was doing on set. She did a wonderful job creating the intended makeup and hair look. I loved how she was able to mix together her makeup to create the PERFECT tones for either skin, blush, lips, or eyes. For example, she didn't just use one generic foundation and apply it to the model; she actually mixed several colors together to make the PERFECT match for the model's skintone. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was that we did go over on time in hair and makeup - perhaps it was because Caroline had to mix colors and literally match the intended look on the model, but I would prefer next time if it was much more swift so we could have more time shooting!Overall, definitely would recommend her to others!

I worked with Caroline with my last photo shoot. I couldn't have asked for a better makeup artist to work with. The finished products were flawless, beautiful, real masterpieces!!! I felt like a different person each time she did a makeup change. She really sincerely cares about her work and will not stop until it is exactly the way she wants it. She never puts half or only a piece of herself into her art, she puts her whole being and it really shows!!! Even once she is done, if she notices something she doesn't like, she will fix it. She does not leave it which I believe to be a great quality in an artist, any artist, especially when the photos that are being taken are permanent. She makes you feel so comfortable and the time flys because you're having such a good time. It is my strong belief that Caroline is going to go above and beyond with her work, and it was my pleasure to have worked with her. I hope to work with her again in the near future and I look forward to seeing all of her successes and accomplishments.

Caroline is an absolute professional and a photographer's dream. I met her on a photo shoot and we've instantly clicked and have worked on a few projects together and will probably work on many more. She brings a strong understanding of her craft and some of her on the fly make up work, has left me speechless. If you're looking for bold make-up that will get you noticed and complimented, look no further.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, $100 full face glam makeup which includes eye lashes. I also offer airbrush, at a different price.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We chat briefly either via email/phone about the look they are going for. I like to show up a few mins early to introduce myself, set up and go over the look once again showing them a face chart of the makeup look we are aiming for and, once all is clear, we begin. And I get you looking right honey,
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Makeup Designory, there I completed over 800 hours specializing in beauty and special effects, as well as hair styling.
