FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually like to start off by understanding who they are and what their lifestyle is. From there I get to know what their personal style is like and what their goal would be there. Once that has been outlined, if they are ready and comfortable I start by cleaning out their closet, if they need more assurance, I put together a look book of outfits that I would put for them. Gaining a customer's trust is very important for me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working in fashion for over 9 years. With a mother who is a seamstress and going to school at FIT after graduating from Fordham University. I have taken menswear, draping, haute couture, and trend forecasting classes to help lay down a strong foreground for styling. While working with clients, I have also worked on many shoots as stylist and assistant stylist.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
With a mother who was a seamstress and made clothes for my sister and I as a child, it was always around. From picking the fabrications and colors of my dresses to match my bow and shoes, it was innate. I went to school for business to please my mother, but ended exactly where I always wanted to be, in the fashion industry.
