FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My basic fee is $200 an hour. However additional factors like distance to the location, number of guests, extra equipment, assistants or second shooters have to be considered.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing is to listen to what the client is looking for. I also like to know as much as possible about the venue and when possible I visit the place in advanced. I send them a simple contract and request an advanced payment. After the photos are taken I work on selecting and making them look their best. The editing is a part of the process that clients often take for granted. It's very important to select only the best images that tell the story and then work on them to adjust colors, cropping and contrast. Once I finish I upload sample images and request the final payment. After this I upload all high res edited images to a private gallery on my website. Clients can share this gallery as well as download the images from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I come from a family of visual artists and have a degree in Graphic Design. I also studied photography with one of Mexico's street photography masters, Lazaro Blanco. I apply what I learned in terms of composition, color and communication as a designer as well as the constant way of exploring the world visually and finding beauty in the play of light and context from Mr Blanco.
