FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My personal chef quotes typically exclude grocery, travel costs and optional tip. My average local (NYC) day rate for a dinner party is $350. On average, the grocery cost (organic) for 6 people is $200. The expected budget of 550 for a dinner part for 6. Prices are modified by distance of job (Hamptons), party size (any party above 10 will change labor requirements), and type (private party, cooking class, meal prep).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically chat with new clients through a phone call or video chat to talk about their needs and desires. If time permits, I do ask new clients to fill out a food survey that tells me their dietary restrictions and dislikes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Nutrition, Public health and Food studies from New York University. My previous work experience includes: Private chef at The Culinistas, three private families Line Cook at Cafe Kitsune Cooking Instructor at Haven's Kitchen, Cookspace Brooklyn, Brooklyn Kitchen Barista at Stumptown Coffee and Blue Bottle Coffee
