Introduction: I am a certified professional makeup artist as well as certified M.A.C. Pro artist for 7 years now. I spent 3 years working as a full time M.A.C. Makeup artist. I specialize is wedding and special event makeup as well as private lessons and classes. I also do special FX makeup if needed! I had the pleasure of meeting Alicia when I was engaged to my husband and was looking for a makeup artist for my photos. She took her time to consult with me about what I wanted at our first meeting. I was a little unsure, as this was my first time really having my makeup professionally done, but Alicia gave me the assurance that I was in good hands. My makeup for my consultation was FLAWLESS and she exceeded my expectations. Needless to say I most definitely booked her for my engagement photos! She was so accommodating, professional and easy to talk to. Alicia was my go to MUA for my bridal session and she even did mine and some of my bridesmaids on my wedding day. When I became pregnant, I knew that she had moved out of the country and I wasn't sure what I was going to do for my maternity photos. God literally worked a miracle and Alicia happened to be in town the weekend that I was having my photos done. She came to my rescue, yet again! It has been a little over 6 years since Alicia and I met, and she will always be my first choice! Her work speaks for itself!

Alicia did my makeup for an Army ball in Okinawa Japan. She did a beautiful job with my makeup and kept me entertained with genuinely funny conversation. I'd go back again and again!

Working with Alicia was hands down the best experience I've had working with a MUA! After our first time working together, I refused to work with anyone else, and I continued to hire her for several jobs thereafter. Relocating to an area a ways from her is the only reason I don't use her as often anymore, but given the opportunity, I would fly her out for a gig anytime! She's professional but down to earth and relatable. Her quality of work is the absolute best I've ever seen. Her patience with working on long shoots and last minute calls has saved me in more than one occasion. If I never had to hire another MUA, I'd want Alicia to be the reason why!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Finding out exactly what they're looking for. With brides I will do a trial run. If there is anything a client is not fond of, even if I'm completely finished with their face, I will do what I can to make sure I don't leave unless they love what I've done.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Joe blasco school of makeup. 2010. There I learned everything from basic beauty to making and using prosthetics for special fx makeup.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up playing in makeup. My grandmother taught me how to do my whole face by the time I was 4! I am an artist all around. I paint, draw, sculpt, but makeup is the one area in art that I truly love.
