Introduction: Following the completion of my Culinary Arts degree in Manhattan, I was trained by Michelin Star Chef Fortunato Nicotra while working as his sous chef at the three-star Italian restaurant Felidia in Manhattan. Since then, I have been Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef at various restaurants in New York, including a sea-to-table restaurant in the Hamptons. I specialize in Mediterranean cuisine, but I am well-versed in everything from down-home comfort food to upscale fine dining. I have recently relocated to Oklahoma with my wife (a native Oklahoman), and I have enjoyed learning its local dishes. I take great pleasure in meeting the specific food and dietary needs of my clients while providing an unforgettable culinary experience. I am available for catering or as a personal chef. I also offer group or private cooking lessons. I like that being a chef gives me the opportunity to create special moments in people's lives. I also enjoy being in tune with the seasons and the natural world; being a chef allows me to be in a rhythmic sync with seasonal produce and flavors.

Matt is not only an excellent chef with the highest skills in making things taste (and present) beautifully, but he is also very good at listening to what the customer wants and working creatively and faithfully within that vision. He's incredibly nice to work with. He prepared a beautiful and tasty meal for my entire extended family (the RSVP number also kept growing, which didn't phase him) that had everyone raving, and he "tailored" it to the context. In this case, he added Oklahoma bison to his famous Bolognese sauce so we could have an "Oklahoma Bolognese." Everyone was fighting over the leftovers! I highly recommend him for large or small events.

Chef Matthew's menu planning is second only to the taste of the finished product.
