FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Currently my pricing is based on an hourly rate of $65 with a 4 hr. minimum. I also charge a kit fee when shooting longer than 4 hrs. with a daily rate of $250.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With over 31 years of experience. I started shooting, developing and printing B&W film in 7th grade. At the age of 16 I started shooting for POWER99 radio in Salt Lake City, UT, where I shot concerts, portraits, and event photo's for one of Utah's largest radio stations. I went to the University of Utah for film in 2002 where I worked on my BFA.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Saldy, the photography world changed with the advent of the digital DSLR cameras and the relatively inexpensive creative editing software packages. Every person who could afford a camera became a professional photographer. This caused a devaluation of the services and professionalism that once existed. Utah seems to be especially susceptible to this mindset. My only advice is, just remember. . . "you get what you pay for."
