Introduction: I currently work full-time as a UI/UX designer and was a lead front-end web developer before that. In my free time I have enjoyed working as a motion graphics artist, where I take on anything from simple animations and logo bumps to complex video compositing projects. "We can fix that in post" usually just means sending it to me! And I love the challenge! While I may not have a sprawling portfolio here on Thumbtack, I do have years of real industry experience that I can leverage to help you accomplish your goals. I am extremely passionate about the work that I do and take pride in making sure that things are done correctly with no corners cut. I have a professional work ethic and a good sense of humor. Hired on Thumbtack

When sorting through bids for our new corporate page, one stood out. All of the developers told me exactly what they could do for me, and all were exactly the same. All except Daniel. He started with the same “Sure I can do that no problem” message, but then it changed. He took the time to look into our company, what we were looking for, and he did something no one else would. He told us we were looking for the wrong things. Initially, this shocked me a bit and there was a “who does this guy think he is” moment, but we soon realized he was our guy! Daniel brought a fresh, design inspired look to our website and delivered a product better than we could have imagined. He was never hesitant to come into our office to discuss suggested changes from our end or his, or to teach us how to maintain and build on what he had done for us. This project was never a “here are the specifications, make it happen” situation, it was more alive than that. No matter what curve ball we threw him, Daniel was quick to adapt and improve on what we required never once compromising his artistic integrity. He has a vast and varied skill set that we took full advantage of including: Web Design, HTML, Javascript, CSS, Video Editing, Motion Graphics, Graphic Design, Professional Writing, Logo Design, and so much more. I would also like to add, that throughout this process, Daniel had our needs in mind. From his warning of “template resellers” charging thousands to repurpose an existing template, through where we stand now—debating our need for additional sites, against his own self-interest. Daniel is a good person, and a great designer. I would strongly recommend him to anyone, in any industry. If he can make our Frozen and Bag-in-Box juice packs sound sexy, he can do anything.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Sometimes I charge by the hour and sometimes I charge by the size and complexity of the task. When it comes to websites, if I charged by the hour it would be borderline criminal. So, I don't.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Digital Arts & Design at Full Sail University.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been a creative person with a fondness for technology, so combining those interests into a career path just seemed like the obvious thing to do.
