FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our firm offers our services on either a contingency fee or hourly rate. Contingency fees are the most common in cases involving personal injury and wrongful death. With a contingency fee contract you do not pay up front for the work we put into your case. The contract provides for our law firm to be paid a percentage of any recovery received in your case, once the case resolves. The fee varies based on the type of case.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Selecting an attorney to represent you is an important decision. All of the attorneys at Morefield Speicher Bachman offer a free one-hour consultation for potential new clients. During the consultation, I'll listen to your story, talk about the facts of your case, and answer any questions you have about me, and our firm. You will also meet the other attorneys and paralegals that will be working on your case. I'll give you a copy of our contract at the end of the meeting, and recommend that you take it home and review it, and think about whether you have any other questions you would like answered before hiring Morefield Speicher Bachman.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been representing people in and around Kansas City for over 15 years. I keep up-to-date on the latest developments in personal injury and business litigation through attorney CLE programs, webinars, newsletters, and Court bulletins. I also frequently read articles regarding treatment advances for traumatic brain injury, and back, neck, and spinal cord injuries.
