FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want to connect and be on the same page with every person. Proper expectations keep the process confusion and stress-free! At least one or maybe a couple quality conversations REALLY explaining to me what the customer wants helps me make 100% sure that I am going to be able to meet these needs at the agreed-on price. Once we are 100% on the same page and ready to move forward we schedule and shoot!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have multiple full-time local professional photographers I have learned from and studied their methods. I also have over a half a decade of real world experience shooting everything from weddings to candid marriage proposals in the dark to high speed baseball games or gymnastics or product photography for local businesses. Through all this you learn a lot about how to do what you do really well and what to avoid.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My wife and I bought a camera out of obligation years ago knowing we just needed to focus more on having photos to capture life. I never had an interest in photography until I started playing with that camera, watching tutorials on youtube, etc. That developed into paid training courses online and eventually people liked my photos and started wanting to hire me for their family photos and such. From there as I gained confidence I started getting referrals, picking up gigs from local businesses who found my facebook page or something needing help with product photography.
