My teammate and good friend, Sidney Irish, had been going through a fitness transformation with CJ Woodruff at FTA Gym and it was inspiring to watch her body, fitness, and confidence level change. I began talking with Sidney about the cost and commitment of personal training and she encouraged me to sign up at FTA Gym. She also recommended Beth Carr of AB's Fitness after having seen her interact with her clients. She felt Beth would be a good match for me and, 10 weeks later, I couldn't agree more. I signed up with AB's Fitness in November 2016 looking for help with establishing an exercise and nutrition routine that would allow me to lose a substantial amount of weight, while maintaining the strength and endurance required to play a full-contact sport. I sought accountability and a knowledgeable trainer who was intuitive enough to quickly tune into my capabilities. I have asthma and a number of current and past sports injuries, so finding a trainer who was able to push me towards continuous improvement while being sensitive enough not to push me to the point of causing re-injury was extremely important to me. I feel like I have won the trainer lottery with Beth Carr. She meets all of the above criteria while keeping me motivated and being a genuinely all-around awesome person. At 10 weeks in, I have lost 26 lbs. I feel a huge improvement in my endurance and am less reliant on my emergency inhaler. I see muscles popping up here and there. I am overall living a more healthy and fulfilling life. Best of all, I feel like I am not only more participatory with my family, but am also now setting a good example for them to follow. I'm currently a client of AB's Fitness and have loved every minute of it. I give them 5 stars all the way! I'd honestly rate them higher if I could! They're incredibly knowledgeable and they are truly driven by passion. Alex and Beth LOVE what they do. And, they are the BEST at what they do. I have learned so much since becoming their client. They're training is backed by science; it yields evidence-based results.....and thats really pretty cool to me. I wanted to become a better version of myself. My goals were/are to gain muscle, lose weight, and build confidence....in and outside of the gym. I wanted a gym family that's awesome and that I actually get excited about seeing. I wanted to be looked at as more than "just a client." I wanted a personal experience. After all, I'm working on "me" and you can't get anymore personal than that. I wanted someone to get just as excited about reaching my goals as I do, but also hold me accountable when it comes to those goals. I have this with them and I love that! Maybe one day my goals will change. Maybe I'll want something different; counciling on nutrition, competition prep/coaching, remote training vs one on one. Who knows where this journey will take me. What I do know is I'll be making it with AB's Fitness.....all the way!

I've been training with Alex for 7 months now, he is always making the effort to customize my workout for the results I would like to achieve. I enjoy having him as my trainer because he keeps me motivated without being pushy. Fitness is definitely a personal choice and if you make the commitment to meet your goals, Alex can definitely get you there.
