Introduction: Lorenzo's Dog Training Team has been in business for over 30 years. We are the leading authority in professional dog training, as well as behavior modification. We function as a team, with several trainers with whom we have a strong support system. Our technique is effective AND transferable to our clients, ultimately giving them the skills required for a long lasting relationship with their dogs. The greatest thrill about what we do is being able to quite literally save our clients dogs lives. The relationships we build with our clients are very strong due to the impact we have in helping them realize all of their training and behavioral goals. Quite often our clients have tried multiple dog trainers in the past with little to NO success, Being able to confidently say that there is NO behavioral issue that we can not help them with, and fully address, is incredibly satisfying. Having a team of trainers that support each other, allows us to be even stronger in our aim to help keep healthy pets out of shelters, and in owners homes.

I needed some serious help with my pitbull who had become impossible to walk on a leash. He lunged at other dogs and pulled me wherever he wanted to. Anton Yablonsky evaluated my dog AND myself, came up with a plan and started right away change the interaction between Nigel and myself. He was professional and explained how we would do things during his training and why. His approach was firm, but kind and his love for what he does is quite evident. Four years later and I still have an obedient, well behaved companion. And four years later I know that Anton will be there to answer any questions I may have. I wouldn't use or recommend any one else or any other method of training.

Anton worked with us on training our Aussie puppy Bailey. Bailey was a little crazy and we knew we needed professional help to train him. Lorenzo's was referred by our vet, along with several other trainers. After speaking with each of the companies they referred and speaking to other personal recommendations we received from friends, we went with Lorenzo's. From the first time I spoke with Anton, I felt a trust in him. He was very understanding of what we wanted and worked with us until both he and the family thought Bailey was in a good place with his training. Anton was very understanding of each of our family members and where they were personally at with Bailey's training. He took the extra time on each session to make sure we were working with Bailey and comfortable with the lessons we had previously used, as well as the new lesson for the day. He was also very accommodating to our work and school schedules, which helped us tremendously. The cost of the training and tools were more expensive than what we were originally looking to spend, we feel that the training program was totally worth the expense. We continue to work with Bailey and his training on a personal level. What is even better is that we have the option to take him to group training sessions on a regular basis with Lorenzo's for as long as we would like. I would recommend Lorenzo's very highly.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Yes we do. However it is important to note that prices can vary depending on the clients circumstances, their needs, and most importantly the needs of their pet.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Our Clients will either call our office, email our trainer, or call them directly, and we will set up an evaluation. We will pick a time and day that works best for the client as well as any other involved members of the family. The trainer then will come over and go through a list of comprehensive questions gathering information and history on the clients dog, as well as their needs and challenges. At this point we have them handle their pet while we watch, and then we handle while they watch. We discuss our theory, technique, and they get to see some instant results in their pets behavior. It is only then, that we can truly give a professional recommendation for a training program that does in fact meet all of their needs as well as the budget.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a certified Team Coordinator with Lorenzo's Dog Training Team. I am the senior trainer in our market locally, as well as I oversee our Las Vegas and Los Angeles market. I personally have trained over 500 dogs, and been with the company for close to 6 years. I am certified to train dogs in Behavior Modification, Basic Obedience On/Off Leash, Retrieval Training, Scent Work/Tracking, Personal Protection, Advanced Protection, Service Dog Training and Certifications, Therapy Dog Training, and Security Training. I All of our trainers go through our initial recruitment process and interviews before qualifying to be a trainer with Lorenzo's Dog Training Team. At that point we go to our training center in Cleveland, OH, for 4-6 weeks for our education and training before being certified as team trainers. All Lorenzo's Dog Trainers must pass written and physical testing before being certified at this level. As the trainer gains more experience, the senior trainers on the team further their education and advance their skill set as well as what programs they are able to teach. At the Team Coordinator level, the trainer is now able to coach and mentor trainers as their education is still advanced further with the ultimate goal of becoming a Master Trainer.
