John came to my home to take photos for our annual family Christmas card. His understanding of light and being able to catch 5 family members and 2 dogs all looking at the camera is amazing to me. The pictures came out so much better than we had expected.

Working with John was an amazing experience! Not only were the quality of the shots he provided simply amazing but his touch-up skills were fantastic. We commissioned John to shoot 18 locations and he was able to accomplish this feat in a very short time at a very competitive rate. John took on the responsibility of being the project coordinator, working with members of our management team, ensuring that every location was ready to be photographed. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process with each new customer begins very simply, ask questions and listen to the answers. Each and every project differs, understanding the needs and vision of each individual customer is paramount to the success of project completion and image delivery.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Master of Fine Arts degree from West Virginia University and my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Youngstown State University. I have taught fine art and photography at West Virginia University, Youngstown State University, and Washington and Jefferson College. In 2006, myself and Sean Blair founded THE BRAND STUDIO a Pittsburgh based wedding photography studio. I have photographed hundreds of weddings, engagement sessions, portraits etc. but have more recently returned to my personal interests of space and environment, i.e. real estate, architecture, and environmental portraits.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with local home owners, real estate agents, a national retail chain, not to mention hundreds of brides and grooms!
