My furnace stopped working late day in February. I called and spoke to Mat from Home Mechanix. They had just finished for the day but due to my situation would come right over. Mat and Mike arrived to diagnose the problem. They had the ignition box that was needed for the fix right on their truck. I highly recommend Home Mechanix with anyone with heating or cooling problems.

Home Mechanix has received many achievements on HomeAdvisor. I expected a courteous and pleasurable experience; I was terribly mistaken! They had no interest in doing my Air Conditioner Retrofit in my 120 year old house without major reconstruction. I still asked for an estimate and they basically cut me off for 5 days. After sending a few replies on here, I got a message back but no estimate.

Marc, I'm sorry for the miscommunication, but when we last corresponded you had stated the average price of the other quotes you had received and that you doubted we would be below that. I confirmed that we would not be and I assumed you would not want an estimate by that response (my mistake). I did not want to have to perform any "major reconstruction" on your home, thus I had suggested ductless units for your home. We did not feel we could install a traditional forced air system that would perform to our standards in the manner in which you desired. Thank you for your time and best of luck with your project.
