FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes and no. Since I offer full services, from preproduction to editing and final delivery, and I do many real estate jobs, my flat rate reference point is $500, and I adjust my final rate from that point, depending on the scope of the job. If a job requires a few still photos with minor post processing, the total cost may be $150. If the job is a multiday event, such as a car show that spans a weekend, with video, editing and post processing, the total cost may be $1000-$3000.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk to the customer as much as possible prior to beginning to get the best understanding of what their vision is for the final product. I know that many times we have a picture in our mind's eye, but have a hard time communicating exactly what that picture is, and if the process is rushed, then it doesn't get communicated properly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 20 years of flying experience with the Navy, which really helps me pilot the aircraft in ways to get the shots that the customer is looking for. On the media production side of things, I went to college for media production, as well as having many years of personal interest and experimentation.
