FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally, I charge $40 dollars an hour for my services. This includes me arriving at wherever, usually his or her home, the customer wants with any and all materials that I think will be of help.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, the first thing I like to do when I have a new student is to ask them how they are doing or do a quick assessment of their abilities. Once we are both clear on what needs to be improved upon, we can move forward into more specific questions he or she may have. During this entire process, however, I am also trying to get to know whoever I'm working with, taking a few breaks to talk to them about things outside of school. It is imperative that I can get along with the student or else he or she dreads tutoring and retention of material is unlikely.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Business Management Economics from a UC school, and I excelled throughout high school in all classes, particularly in the STEM fields. I have a deep understanding of all these subjects and can relay my understanding to whomever I am tutoring in an easily comprehensible way.
