FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depending on the property and situation I will list a home for between 2.5-3.5% representing the selling side which is full service and is only paid for upon the successful close of a transaction. When assisting a client with the purchase of a home there is no up front charge and the service eventually is paid for by the listing real estate broker after the property sale is complete.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Upon being contacted by a potential client, I typically prefer to set a meeting time either at the clients home, a neutral location such as a coffee shop, or at my office. During this meeting I work to understand my client and their goals in order to formulate a custom plan for them purchasing or selling a home or property.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After graduating from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Sociology, I went on to obtain my Oregon Contactor's License. I used that license when building and remodeling homes and continue to hold it today. During my time in the construction industry I also went through extensive training on green building principles and techniques which allowed my to become accredited with a LEED AP in Building Design & Construction. Currently I undergo regular continuing education in the real estate field so I can keep up to date on new techniques as well as changing rules and regulations.
