Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Hi, I’m Krista. I am not your regular therapist/life-coach/nutritionist. I combine deep transformational work with holistic nutritional support and practical real world skills to give you an edge in offering yourself fully to your relationships, your work in the world, and your community involvement. I work with people one-on-one as well in groups either face to face or virtually. I am trained in three general areas: Holistic Nutrition & Permaculture: producing and consuming traditional sacred and healing foods to support healthy weight, robust fertility, emotional resilience, and physical vitality. Depth Psychology & Life Coaching: digging deep within a safe and compassionate container to support harmonious marriage/partnership, professional partnership/organizational conflict resolution, ethical leadership, spiritual direction, trauma healing, lineage repair, decoloniality & community liberation. Financial Freedom: ethical and heart centered business marketing and development to support finding your strengths, purpose and calling, overcoming obstacles, getting started, and the practical business fundamentals to bring yourself to market in an authentic and soulful way. Nutritional Therapy Practitioner® Somatic Experiencing Practitioner® Constellation facilitator Philosophical counselor MA in Philosophy, University of Toronto MA in Depth Psychology, Pacifica Graduate Institute PhD Candidate, Medical Anthropology & Indigenous Studies, University of British Columbia I love helping people discover the healer within and supporting that healer to lead the way through and forward. My philosophy is holistic and this allows me to traverse many common pitfalls in therapeutic and coaching practice. This means I am able to work with stubborn emotional issues with a lot of success. I am also able to work with difficult nutritional issues using psycho-emotional tools. I love helping people step more and more into who they are.

There are so many counselors, healers, therapists, lifestyle gurus and professional advice-givers out there that it's easy to feel overwhelmed by all the choices. As a mother of three, I've spent who knows how much time and money looking for effective support for my family's health, only to find superficial, time consuming programs that may produce short-lived results (that require constant re-upping to maintain any effectiveness), but never really get to the heart of what we need. Nothing I've tried has come close to the kind of immediate, deep affect that working with Krista has provided. Her methods are so gentle and intuitive that it's hard to believe the powerful results. Within a week of our first hour-long session, my energy and sense of well-being were raised dramatically. I felt clearer and more confident in my body's ability to heal and was amazed when the results started reaching beyond the original issue for which I had sought her out. Five years later, I don't hesitate to turn to Krista first for all of my and my family's health questions, from nutrition to mental/emotional and relationship dilemmas. Her compassionate manner and truly holistic approach have given me the support I've needed to overcome blocks and reach my goals, without the confusing and often guilt-inducing yo-yo effect I've experienced with other practitioners. She understands that our lives aren't cookie-cutter and our issues aren't compartmentalized, and so is able to invest in the whole client and get to the actual root of a problem, instead of just temporarily easing the symptoms. If you've tried all the healthy living fads, diet programs, all the different therapies, alternative and conventional, and are still feeling stuck, please set up an appointment with Krista, and get ready for a breakthrough!

Krista created my website and clarified and distilled my business and website offerings. I could not do this as I was too close to it to objectively see it. We worked together so that my website was authentically me and marketable. Who knew my quirky amalgam of life and expertise had some gold running through it. She was able to find that. My website became a foundation that my ever-changing offerings grow from. I could not have done this without Krista’s process. Her vast educational background in a variety of disciplines and array of knowledge is a rare find. We also worked well together and laughed a lot!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My hourly rate ranges from $80 - $150/hour depending on the kind of work I'm doing. Lower rates are for developing protocols or basic program support. Higher rates are for one-one-one therapeutic/coaching work and group facilitation. I have many virtual courses that are the most economical way to get started for many folks. I do work with a sliding scale for many of my courses and services. In general sliding scale is reserved for those who come from working class and working poor backgrounds and current conditions. If you are unsure whether or not you qualify for sliding scale, feel free to contact me and we can chat about it. I also offer community based services at no cost for truly marginalized individuals and communities as well as work trade when it makes sense.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I invite you to set up a time to chat one on one about your needs and dreams. In about 15-20 minutes we can decide what’s next if working together seems like a good fit.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Krista is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner®, Constellation facilitator, philosophical counselor, nutritional therapist, Theater of the Oppressed facilitator, community and archetypal psychology practitioner, birth keeper and death midwife. She has also trained in Anthroposophy, Craniosacral Therapy and Processwork as well as a Birth Keeping, and Death Midwifery. She has an MA in Philosophy from the University of Toronto and an MA in Depth Psychology from Pacifia Graduate Institute with a concentration in community psychology, liberation psychology and eco psychology. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Indigenous Studies at the University of British Columbia where she works at the intersection of applied medical anthropology, Mexican American and Indigenous philosophy, Indigenous psychologies and creative-poetic praxis.
