JD quoted me an amazing price to remove a bunch of trees and fix our sprinklers. TLDR: It took him six months to finish the job and it was pulling teeth the whole time. I hired him in July, he finally hauled the trees away in January. I turned on the sprinklers last week and half of the heads he said he'd replace were not replaced and the ones he did replace we're pointed at the sidewalk. To be fair, I could not have gotten as much work done as he did manage to finish, for the price I paid, anywhere else. At the same time we lost money on the rental because he took so long. Also, to be fair, I did not call him back and give him a chance to fix his mistakes. After sitting on it a week I decided I'd rather pay someone else to finish rather than risk JD taking two months to get it done. He's thoughtful and he reseeded the bare patches in our lawn. JD is a nice guy with the best of intentions, too optimistic an eye when evaluating the cost and time commitment of a job, and a back pocket full of excuses when things go wrong. It may still be worth it to go with JD just because of his price. Try to help him be more honest with himself on the cost and time frame of the job. Don't pay up front or before the job is done, no matter the reason. And be the squeaky wheel until he finishes. Then praise him to high heaven for everything he did right. We may get a great service professional out of him yet.

JD was great! We hired him same day to take care of the snow on our sidewalk and driveway. We had been out of town since before Christmas and he was able to get all of the ice that had layered under the latest storm's snow. He was prompt, polite and great to work with!

I was lucky to find JD. He goes above and beyond to do an excellent job, and then some. I hired him for snow removal but then learned he has many more skills. So I also hired him to take care of some electrical issues. On both tasks, he did fantastic work and also took care of additional details. I appreciate that he was very fast to respond, fast to complete the jobs, and kept me in the loop while I was at work, with updates and even a picture. I will continue to use JD for all of the projects at my house.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
a realtor who had listed and been trying to sell a home for about 9 months with no luck hired me to do small landscaping projects, including raking and leveling the property to prepare it to have sod installed. 2 days after i finished installing sod house came under contract and sold for the asking price.
