FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard price is $125 per hour. However, I offer discounts with 3-month commitments.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With new customers, I arrange a 30 minute free consultation. This gives both me and the client an opportunity to see if we fit before making a commitment. Further, it helps clients understand the coaching model and how it differs from traditional counseling. Next, I engage clients in a deeper exploration of their goals and the heart-connection to them. Say, a client says, "I want more love in my life." That's pretty broad. I help them to get down to how that would look, how that would feel and how that is different from what they are currently experiencing. New clients are invited into either weekly or bi-weekly coaching opportunities. While there is no one size fits all when it comes to reaching their goal, I suggest at least 3 months. Studies prove that it takes at least 21 days to break a habit. Hence, my experience is the first month is shifting the client from external factors to getting to the heart of the matter. The second month is helping to align clients with what is authentic and to build on that foundation. The third month is supporting them, serving as an accountability partner, in moving forward. Once the three months is over, at the final session, there is time to evaluate whether the coaching needs to be extended or whether they are ready to enter into a maintenance relationship. This is where I continue to support them and remain their accountability partner but the times together are less frequent.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In 2006, I graduated with honors and received certification for life and relationship coaching from the Coaching Academy of North America, Inc. One year prior, I obtained an Associates Degree in Human Services Technology, specializing in Substance Abuse Counseling. Trained in telephone crisis intervention and other counseling techniques, i.e. active listening, clarifying, reframing, mirroring, etc, where my training was used in various clinical settings. Advised college students regarding majors, careers and anxiety of entering adulthood. My combined education and experience spans 11 years in this field.
