I love seeing people break through mental and physical barriers. Seeing the satisfaction and gratification people feel when they hit large milestones are the most rewarding feeling for any coach.

Jared has helped me achieve the focus I lacked before starting with his personal training program one year ago. I was a 46 year old, 300 pound, out of shape guy, who had finally hit a point of realization that I needed to get into better shape if I wanted to see my 8 year old son graduate high school. My diet and exercise regime consisted of hauling myself off the couch to grab some form of junk food. My blood pressure was through the roof (153/110) and I didn’t want to use a pill to solve my problems, I wanted to try and see if getting back to my late 20’s/early 30’s form was possible. Jared’s approach was awesome. He catered an exercise program specific to me. He didn’t start off with a huge list of “don’t eat this” or “you have to eat this”, instead, he simply told me that in order to see the results I want achieve, I will need to change my eating habits. His focus was on my training routine, and as I progressed he would offer dieting suggestions and philosophies, but essentially left that up to me. It was quite refreshing to be treated as an adult. The results after one year with Jared are very visible. I am down to 244 pounds (I am 6’ 5”, so it looks noticeably leaner) my stamina is through the roof and my blood pressure is now down to 121/73, and no medication necessary. I can’t thank Jared enough for actually making working out fun. - Sam

Working with Jared has been life changing. I am a Veteran of the US Army and I am a police officer. I can say that Jared has given me challenges that neither Bootcamp nor Academy has given me. He has made me massively stronger and leaner, but it wasn’t just his workout plans. He actually listens to my needs and then created a customized workout plan that was geared to my specific goals. He never gave me a cookie cutter workout plans, and this showed me that he actually cares for my success. While I worked out with him I use to call him the “Mad Scientist”, because he would create new workouts that I have never heard of. It was a great compound technique, because it focused on strength, stamina, and muscle fatigue. I am still a customer even after working with him for over a year and will continue to go back.

I’ve been working with Jared Courter for almost a year now and have seen excellent results. In fact, this is the longest I’ve stuck with a trainer, which has a lot to do with Jared’s grit and ability to motivate and encourage while also achieving goals. He has a keen ability to walk the fine line between encouragement and pushing for results, while gauging my stamina and physical ability. He quickly learns how to tailor his style to fit anyone’s individual training goals. Not only is he great a keeping me motivated and on course with my gym regime, but he is also highly skilled with dietary knowledge, and the science behind weight loss and muscle gain. Jared is an awesome personal trainer and I enthusiastically recommend him to newcomers to the gym as well as more experienced athletes.

Being Jared's older brother, I was hesitant to listen to what he was telling me. But I knew I needed to change my life-style and I took a chance at listening to a college sophomore who was very wet behind the ears. Looking back, I can honestly say it was one of the greatest decisions I have ever made, because Jared's passion about fitness is contagious.   • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Everyone has different goals and limitations. The first thing new clients will do is to fill out an assessment on their current health and fitness levels. From here we offer them a FREE session to see what kind of strengths and weaknesses they have. Once they finish the workout, we will sit down and talk about goals and what exactly needs to be done to reach those goals. With all of this information, I will tailor a customized workout and diet plan for them to follow. It will be structured in a way that fits their schedule and goals, allowing them to see the results they want, without having to completely sacrifice everything they enjoy in life.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Specialist in Fitness Nutrition through through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA).
