FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The average paint job costs $3400. This is for one coat and a single story home that is roughly 1600 square feet. Several factors can make your price be significantly higher, or lower: such as the current paint condition and whether it is peeling, cracking, missing completely or simply faded; how many layers of paint are on it and need to be scraped or sanded in order to make the surface as smooth as possible and ready for primer; the size of the house; the height of the walls and any obstacles to work around; and of course your color choice.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet the homeowners at their home to do a walk around their home and go over all of their concerns and needs. I use this time to find out how I can break the estimate down to best suit what they need. I then gather my measurements, write up the estimate and go over it with the homeowner while I am still there. We then choose a time frame that works for them and for me to do the work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree from COCC and am almost finished with my bachelors degree from OSU. I am also a licensed contractor which is a requirement through the state of Oregon. I continue my traing and education by attending conferences and webinars three times per month. I have a CPR and First aid certificate as well, just incase. CCB#209897
