Introduction: Great care will be taken with your body, mind, and spirit; to achieve your goals of health and well-being. I specialize in teaching Yin Yoga. It is very well suited for beginners. It is also beneficial and advantageous for seasoned yoga practitioners and athletes to practice. It is very therapeutic, and can be meditative in and of itself. It is very good for the recovery and maintenance of range of motion and quality of life. It is beneficial for all ages and body types. Additionally, I teach Restorative Yoga, which is 'more Yin than Yin'. It relies on props such as bolsters, blocks, cushions, and straps. It is great for recovering from injury, returning to an active lifestyle, or dealing with debilitation due to injury, age, or other complication. Modern medical science backs up the health benefits of Yin Yoga. Look up material from Dr. Ray Long for more information. I also offer guided meditations in many forms; including pranayama (breath), silent, walking, visualization, gratitude, forgiveness, and many others to suit your various needs. These meditations can be combined with yoga if desired. I really enjoy observing the immediate effects of yoga and meditation on my students at the end of class. The peace they have gained shows in their smiles and glowing faces. It brings me peace and joy as well to see their bliss. The long-term benefits are evident too, as I watch people's health and lives change for the better in many ways.

I'm certainly a beginner in terms of my yoga experience. The classes I attended were basic enough for me to not be overwhelmed, but my body still felt challenged in a positive way. I felt as if the instructions were easy to understand, so I didn't have to keep turning my head to see what Mike was actually doing. It was an added bonus since that enabled me to really focus on the pose and get into it. I definitely look forward to the next session! Thank you!

I had a 1-on-1 yoga session with Mike. He is knowledgeable and goes at a comfortable pace. I would take instruction from him again.

One of my favorite teachers I have had. As a beginner he took time before, during and after classes to help me understand and grow with my yoga learning. I would highly recommend him to those looking to start learning or those that are experienced, you will enjoy your time in his classes.

I loved my practice sessions with Michael Sane. The pace was perfect. His calm set the tone for the room, and everyone got just a little interaction to help their postures. I think we all felt focused on our own yoga. It inspired me to set new goals for returning to my own practice, and I have!
