We hired Olive Catering for our small wedding reception (20 guests). The entire process and final outcome was a very positive experience for us and we would highly recommend them. They provided timely responses to our emails and we also had several phone calls and in-person meetings to discuss our vision for the reception. Elinor and Arkadi came up with a great menu after we put somewhat challenging requirements on them since we had a small budget, wanted to have a nice variety of dishes, have vegan food options for some of our guests, and also restricted the use of some ingredients due to food allergies. Their staff also did a great job setting up decorations based on our instructions (for a reasonable fee). Everyone had a great time at our event and had plenty to eat. The food was presented nicely was all very delicious. We would hire them again the next we have another event.Sep 27, 2018
Arkadi makes simple and fresh ingredients come alive in ways I'd have never imagined before meeting him. He not only cooked some great cuisine, but also taught me a thing or two about how my own cooking could take a step up in times when he wasn't around. Thanks Arkadi! I recommend!Jul 1, 2018
I went to an event catered by Arkadi and Elinor back in January. I loved the richness of flavors and colors. The food was as tasty as it looked. The meats were cooked to perfection. I booked them to cater a costumers appreciation event for my construction company and it was a big success! Food was great and the service was professional.Jul 1, 2018
Olive Cater team catered my birthday party in February and it was absolutely delicious. The buffet looked beautiful and had a wide variety of dishes with many vegetarian options. The shawarma was out of this world! Even though we eat a lot, we had leftover for the next day. It was fun to see the team cook and prepare the food at my house and they left the kitchen cleaner than it was before. I highly recommend Arkadi and Elinor service.Jun 25, 2018
I hired Olive for my birthday party and they are hands down the best catering experience I've ever had for reasonable prices. The value simply can't be beat! We had the Moroccan salmon, a lamb dish and some side options and they were all delicious. Both Arkadi and Elinor went an ve and beyond to make this experience go smooth. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Our Pricing is based on price per person with added fees of delivery, staffing if necessary and Tax.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We take the following steps when working with a new client: 1. We listen to the client’s culinary vision and needs and then ask questions like: the occasion, the theme, guest composition, location, time of day, dietary restrictions, and the many other variables that can impact the success of an event are also considered. 2. Our chef builds a menu and our team reviews the menu and suggests improvements or modifications. 3. We present our clients with the menu and take into consideration any feedback or concerns they may have. 4. A final menu is sent to our clients. 5. Once contract is signed the event date is saved for the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Arkadi, our chef has worked in the best restaurants in Tel Aviv & Jerusalem and learned from talented chefs. He won Food Network's shot The Great Food Truck Race in 2014. Elinor, our head of operations, had been working in events and hospitality for over 20 years.
