What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My Tabata Bootcamp program session pricing differs for each session, so please contact me directly for pricing details for our next, upcoming session in January 2016.
My drop-in fitness classes (i.e. Zumba, Cardio Kickboxing, Dance Fitness Party) are currently $7/class (cash) or $7.20/class (card) effective January 2016. A 5-class punch card can be purchased for $30 (cash) or $30.85 (card), which drops the per-class pricing down to $6/class (cash) or $6.17/class (card). 5-class punch cards expire within 3 months of purchase.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There is a brief consultation to go over some preliminary paperwork (i.e. Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire, Release of Liability, Informed Consent, Contact Information) and discuss personal physical activity history/concerns so I can advise mindfulness and provide appropriate guidance for modifications if needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
- 6+ years of experience as a Group Fitness Instructor
- Zumba Fitness Instructor License
- Tabata Bootcamp Certification
- Group Fitness/Exercise Instructor Certification (ACE/AFAA)
- Personal Trainer Certification (AFAA)
- Bachelor's Degree in Communication
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was first exposed to group fitness classes while in college, and from there, my passion as a participant evolved into a desire to teach! I earned my Zumba Fitness Instructor License in 2009 and my knowledge and experience within the fitness industry has grown since then (and continues to)!
What types of customers have you worked with?
All fitness levels; I provide options to regress or progress exercises throughout each class so everyone can choose what level to work at that is appropriate for them personally.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Developing my first Tabata Bootcamp program session this past summer, which was a 6-week session including 15 participants this fall. It was such a great experience that I'm offering another one in January 2016 based on high demand!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone who you enjoy working with and who takes your personal needs into consideration when designing your workout program. Someone who you can communicate openly with and who motivates you along the way (and is fun, too)!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Availability. Your preferred days/times versus what you would be available for if needed if your preferred times aren't a perfect match.
