Years ago, when I was a child, I stood at the edge of the pasture and looked out to the horses. I asked my grandfather how were we going to get the horses when they were roaming free and not in a stall. He looked at me and said, "Always be their favorite place to be and you will never have to worry about that."
I carry that advice with me even today and have applied it to the 200+ species of animals I have worked with since then.
I grew up on horse ranches, have worked full contact with wild animals, and been the lead technician at a veterinary hospital before opening my own business in the spring of 2014. What I love most is watching my clients develop a better understanding of their pet and how that relationship shifts in response; see them learn how to be their pet's favorite place to be.
