- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
mindful start When I arrive for your first session, we won’t plunge straight into your closet. We'll sit and chat for a while first. We'll talk about your questionnaire. Together, we’ll look at visuals that we’ll use to define your personal style. By envisioning your ideal wardrobe, we’ll create a framework for our work together. When we do head into your closet, we’ll focus on the good instead of the bad. Don’t worry if your closet is cramped or small, I bring a wardrobe rack so we can pull out what we need to focus on. We start with your go-to items: pieces that you wear often, that you know will make you feel good. Along with the style framework from our chat, this sets the standard that we’ll then compare the rest of your wardrobe to. With what remains, we have to figure out why it isn’t a go-to pieces. Does it fit? Do you love it? Do you wear it? Sometimes you don’t know until you put it on, so this part of the process involves a lot of trying on clothes. We start with clothes, then move on to shoes and accessories. We rearrange and structure your closet to function efficiently. Your closet is now mindful. In the last few minutes of the editing session, we'll determine the next best use for what you've purged: sell, donate, alter, keepsake. Everything that remains are pieces you love and wear, but you still might not have everything you need. Throughout our editing session, I've been filling out a customized mindful shopping list for you. mindful shopping Shopping should not be mindless. There's only so much space in your closet. Instead of always looking for the next new thing, save that time and energy for what's really important in your life. We’ll meet for our shopping trip at a location I’ve chosen specifically for you based on your style, your size, and your budget. Using the framework we created in the edit, I choose pieces that fit your ideal wardrobe and complete your collection. Without having to do any of the searching, you show up to find a dressing room filled with options. Mindful shopping is a process that takes time and a lot of trying on. For every 100 items you try, it's only realistic to expect a few of them to match the framework. Most people give up before they get there. Since I do half the work for you, you’ll have the energy to keep going until we find what you need. mindful styling Getting those great pieces doesn’t make much difference if you don’t know how to mix and match them effectively to get the most use out of them. I upload photos of your existing items, add the new items and create a digital lookbook with multiple outfits for every occasion, including accessories. Now you have a cheat sheet for when you're too tired to think.
