FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a few ways we work: a consultation fee only for a few hours of work, an hourly rate for something ongoing or a flat rate based on the scope of work and whether or not we buy furniture and manage the work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually ask a lot of questions: I sit down and ask things like how the client actually lives, what are their daily habits, what is it they like style wise, what don't they like style wise (people focus on what they like but usually never what they don't like and it's helpful to know upfront), do they have kids/pets (that will determine flooring and fabric choices). Then depending on the scope of work, drawings, samples of needed items such as flooring, tile, cabinetry, fabric, photographs of furniture choices and a floorplan are prepared. Then we execute the plan in a way that is mutually agreeable with the client in terms of clearing the space or completing the project in stages to accommodate schedules or life-style.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do have a degree in art and design as well as being an adjunct professor of art and design at a local college. I have been doing that since 2002.
