Introduction: Urban Animal Kingdom is a full service dog walking and pet care business serving the St. Paul area. We are fully bonded and insured, and each one of our pet care providers is certified in pet first aid and CPR. We are reliable, trustworthy, and most importantly, we love what we do. Let us care for and play with your pet! I love dogs and am very interested in dog training and behavior. I volunteer at the Twin Cities Obedience Training Club, where I learn how to train dogs. I love applying my knowledge of positive reinforcement to my walks. It makes them safer and more fun for me and the dog!

I cannot say enough great things about Beth. This is the only review Ive ever written, but thats how important I think she is! Not only is she dependable, flexible, and kind, she truly cares about the animals she takes care of. One day when I was stuck at work all day, she was scheduled to walk my dog Winston. When walking him, she noticed he was having trouble going to the bathroom and appeared to be in pain. She immediately left me a message, and while waiting to hear back from me, was so worried that, completely of her own volition and regardless of her already packed schedule, she checked back on Winston 3 times! Unfortunately, I didnt get her message for a few hours and I can tell you that by the sound of her voice, she was truly worried and really cares for Winston. When she didnt hear back from me immediately, she called the vet and arranged for treatment. When I wasnt able to leave work ASAP, she volunteered to drive my dog to the vet herself. Everything worked out well (Winston had a UTI and is all better) but I cannot express how grateful I am to her! She went so far above and beyond for Winston and me! I trust her completely and know that Winston is in great hands when I am at work. Additionally, I want to mention, she is so flexible with her schedule that any last minute changes that come up, she is always willing to accommodate. She also is very knowledgeable about dog training and obedience, and has taught us a few things. There are many dogs in my area that walk with her, so I know I'm not the only person who feels so strongly about Beth!

Beth and Greg are our pup's favorite people. Everything about Urban Animal Kingdom is professional, from the intake meeting to communication after every visit. Beth even helped us set up a weekly play date with another neighbor pup to give the dogs both exercise and socialization. I appreciate that they are willing to do both regular visits and short-term needs--perfect for the intermittent occasions when we need another human to let the fur baby out. I know Beth seeks out ongoing education to make her and her team even more skilled in managing pups of various temperaments and needs. They have a portal that makes scheduling, payment, and communication super convenient. Greg even sends me a message with photos every week after his visit--brightens my day at work!

I am so thankful for Urban Animal Kingdom. I have two kitties, and I know when I need to get away that they are in good hands. I'm stress-free because I always know the pet sitter is going to show up and give each kitty the unique care they need. I've got a list of their separate dietary needs and routines that'll keep them healthy and happy and everything has been going really well. The kitties are calm and relaxed when I come home. Another aspect I appreciate is that Urban Animal Kingdom uses the Time To Pet portal to keep me updated on each visit - sometimes pictures too! The Portal makes it so easy to schedule, pay invoices, tip and send messages. I highly recommend Urban Animal Kingdom!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I contact people who have expressed an interest in dog walking to answer any questions they have, and to schedule a meet and greet. I like to meet new clients at their home so that I can meet their dog and see him or her where they live. I ask a few questions and learn more about the needs and personality of each dog. If the client and I both decide it is a good match, I will leave them with a notebook in which I will communicate with them about our daily walks.
