FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Over the years I've developed a very accurate bidding/pricing system which is based on the actual sq/ft of paint-able walls, ceilings, siding & decking. A close/accurate measurement of the dimension(s) of walls or rooms is required for firm/bidding. As well; pricing for doors & windows require a quantity; while trim, baseboards, soffits & fascia need lengths. My pricing system will also provide accurate data in estimating the amount of primer/paint/stain required for accurate project costs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The customer's initial pricing request begins the process. Gathering accurate project information is one of the most critical and important steps for a successful project. Initial information should include; a detailed description of the project and phone pics (if possible). Pics are extremely helpful in getting an accurate understanding of the project, asking questions & getting initial pricing back to the client quickly. The vast majority of projects are priced by Sq/Ln/Ft & initially can be quoted via email with phone pics and accurate descriptions. A walk thru will be scheduled at a later date. Once a projects are quoted, I'll develop a clear and understandable "scope of work" document. This document provides an outline detailing the "work" process. It includes; project parameters, labor steps, warranty and terms/financial details. I believe successful projects begin with accurate & clear information. I also understand and agree; the final measurement of success will always be determined by skillful execution.
