- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Woodbury $117 min (estimated at 3 hours) + $39/hr additional Outside Woodbury $147 min (estimated at 3 hours) + $49/hr additional Materials & Rental = cost + 25%. On occasion, by request, I will provide a whole project quote.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most often I will make arrangements to promptly come out and visit the project. I will take pictures, measurements, and discuss ideas, and next steps. The first step will be a formal estimate that will be emailed with all details included of expected labor and material costs. If I don't have experience with the requested task, I will tell them I don't. I will research how to complete the task, and then discuss with the customer if we should continue the relationship. Materials are invoiced at cost + 25%. Entire project quotes can be provided once I've seen the project in person or with sufficient images.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Summers as a kid were spent learning from the best in finish and rough carpentry. I went to a Big 10 university where I studied construction management, and then project managed the construction of multiple restaurants and approximately 40 homes as a construction manager. I've continued for years to do side projects for friends and family.
