Ricky Roberts III

Introduction: I am the author of five published books, national speaker and founder of You Are Valued (YAV). YAV is a movement of valuing others that has reached as far as Indonesia, Belgium, and South Africa. I take everything I have learned through my own challenges and how I overcame them, as well as the insight I gain from the many audiences I have the privilege to speak with, to empower, encourage, and inspire others. It is always my pleasure to share a message and facilitate discussions that best serve the need at hand. Whether it be empowering people to pursue their dreams, encouraging young people to be more kind and compassionate (addressing bullying & teen suicide), inspiring a better sense of leadership and team with professionals, honoring community groups and leaders for their contributions, and more, I use a heartfelt and authentic approach that will best serve the audience. No matter who the audience is, my focus is to bring out the best in them. I love seeing the look in a young person eyes when I witness them feeling inspired to pursue their dreams. Follow their passions. Live their purpose. I hold back tears when I witness the heart and compassion of our young people when I address bullying and the need to stop it. I get moved to hear working professionals reveal the answers to how they can be better leaders, and/or how they can cultivate a stronger sense of team for their company / organization. I am inspired over and over again by knowing something I said, or did, made a difference in someone else's life, career, company, and/or organization. Ultimately, what I enjoy most about the work I do is being a part of impacting others in a positive way.
