FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is $60/hr for a dance lesson. I have a dance floor in my home in St. Petersburg close to 275, or we can rent in a dance studio closeby, or I can come to you. If you are interested in dance class packages of 5 or more lessons I am happy to do a discount. For events, my base rate is $80 per person per hour for performances. I typically dance with my professional partner, so that comes out to $160 per hour for us both, but we can do deals based on distance of travel, letting us help you hire a band or DJ and if you need us for several hours.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For dance lessons I first asses what the student's reason for dancing or goals are, talk over a plan, and dance with them or observe them dancing to find areas for improvement. I can then begin teaching fundamentals, or more advanced dance concepts depending what the student needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been taking dance lessons myself in all styles since I was 5 years old, but most of my dance teaching has happened in the last 5 years. I began partner dancing, mostly swing when I was 13 and learned to lead and follow from a young age. I teach private lessons every week, small group classes, as well as large group classes. I have written choreography for many wedding dances to all styles of music.
